June 27th. Southern Tuscany. Pitigliano is a breathtaking city once a jewish settlement, but that is a different story. It was built on top of a volcanic rock outcropping with cliffs on three sides. The town is very charming. Small alleyways appear to drop off to the jungle below and the distant hills.
